- @Scampering: dude, are you working through my to-make list? that's my next cheese too! it sounds like it'll be fun to make – i hope it is :) #
- @Scampering: oki! i've got next monday off work – i'll try it then. hope your ventures are a success today :) #
- Ooof, good cup of tea. #
- We were listening to some maudlin blues, I ask for something chirpier, @johnleach puts on Leonard Cohen's Songs from a Room. He's a funny boy #
- Had a headache all day. This is what I get for going out into the big blue room and talking to other people. Staying at home ftw. #
- We've been together for 9 years but every day I learn something new about @johnleach. Today: he can sing the Sweet Valley High theme tune. #
- @scrutz: he had street cred?! second new thing I've learnt about him today! ;) #
- Had an ace (if tiring) day at the Regional Youth Theatre Fest in York, including watching To Kill A Mockingbird. Back there again tomorrow. #
- Another good day at the RYTF in York: our performances went well, kids seemed to enjoy it & I had a nice pannini for lunch. All the win ;) #
- So very sleepy. #
Categorylife
The general parent category for most of the things I write about on here.
One of the more interesting Louisa-centric sub-categories is biodata (where I explore my personal history with graphs, maps and whatnot), and if you’re that way inclined, you can read about the wonderful felines and canines with whom I’ve shared my life too.
- @swirlyarts: Ditto. The trees in the wood are really tall & leggy so sway like crazy & are scary loud. But still #notcomplainingreally ;) #
- Had a very frustrating dream then equally annoying first 10mins of waking trying to remember Marty McFly's mum's name. #firstsignsofsenility #
- My computer has a new-computer smell. #
- Just filled my fancy fountain pen with ink from a bottle and didn't spill any anywhere, not a drop. Am in shock. #
- Am happy that @johnleach is heading home earlier than expected but feel robbed out of an evening of bad films, cheese toasties & crochet. #
- @Scampering: I'd anticipated so much mess I thought I'd have to bring in one of those post-murder cleaning crews ;) #
- @sarahjarvis: I got mine from here http://is.gd/s2vQWr I've got a lamy studio 67 pen with a converter thing for filling http://is.gd/MYb33h #
- @Scampering: oreos, mint aero & ice cream. ok, it's not so much a smoothie as a hugely calorific milkshake but yum! ;) #
- I have achieved nothing this morning and have an eye-strain headache. Remind me never to get a new computer every again. #
- Absolutely shocked to find the mouse that came free from Dell isn't very good. #
- Been doing a fun little experiment today. Achieved little aside from that though. Sigh. #
- Saturday night's entertainment – waiting to see if I win some curtain rings on ebay. #livingonthefrickingedge #
- For those #livingonthefrickingedge with me, do not fear I won the curtain rings. Now what to do for the rest of the evening… #
- @Scampering: oooh! oooh! you do all the things I want to do! soap making is next on my list – please blog your recipe! exclamation marks! ;) #
- ? @really_good: Wooden planters made from scrap wood http://www.thereallygoodlife.com/1946/ [I had loads of fun making these!] #
- @jeremyjarvis: I've been wondering that for a while – last time I looked Xero Personal was unusable too :( #
- just made the mistake of asking @johnleach & @strowger78 what i should call my pending new computer. i stopped listening after about 10mins. #
- @Scampering: haha, I love the idea of giving it a full name with title – "Dr Reginald Blyth CBE FRCS". Far better than "new-computer" ;) #
- @Scampering: we've had a cat theme going on – my laptop is cougar, john's netbook is kitten, our server "lion" & the network "the pride" :) #
- @xbaz: i found out yesterday that one of my first crushes has a wikipedia page. (and i don't mean bert raccoon). #
- @xbaz: he's pretty hot but he's no eric from dungeons and dragons. #
- Collecting random-but-appropriate things from around our house to be improvisation props at class tonight. Hula hoop, yes; gas mask, no. #
- Had a lie in this morning. Feel almost human again. Strange how guilty I still feel about sleeping in late on a weekday. #
- Dog just tried to blame a five second fart on @johnleach. #upisnowdown #
- @Cats1957: in their younger days, our cats were up at dawn – now we've got them trained to sleep until about 9am! :) #
- Food poisoning. Spent the night delirious & in agony. When he woke up, I had to check with @johnleach what was real & what was deli-dreams. #
- It seems both someone building a giant ornate stone bridge over the beck & us sleeping at the bottom of the garden were both deli-dreams. #
- @Scampering: ooh you have a cheese press? bought or made? your house sounds full of all sorts of awesome fun things! am very jealous :D #
- While being food poisoned, I have read a novella about a plague which wipes out 8billion people in 2013 & a film about cooking rich food. #
- It has just come to my attention that my boyfriend is a nerd. #
- Six things I learned while making marmalade yesterday: http://www.thereallygoodlife.com/1806/ #
- Is there anything that looks dodgier than a big guy in an old army jacket digging in a wood at dusk? #
- Trimmed the brown bits off the plants in the bathroom. Feel that small task was more productive than anything else I've achieved today. sigh #
- Staff at the bank seemed bewildered by the new machines. Took 2 of us 10 mins to pay in 7 cheques. Nothing like time saving technology, eh? #
- Annoyed the bathroom fitter down the street's van isn't park outside his house on streetview. How else am I supposed to find his details? ;) #
- @Scampering: It's harder to say as it's not strictly pass/fail. 5 GCSEs grade A-C used to be almost equivalent – not sure if it still is. #
- @Scampering: I'm not sure how it translates to people but apparently 98.7% of GCSE exams taken in 2010 were passed, 70% at A-C grades. #
- Made a joke about utility companies at drama last night.Lead balloon.Apparently 15yr olds aren't the right audience for power company humour #
- Has yet to hear anyone say anything positive about quora. Lots of grumbling from geeks and non-geeks alike. #
- Not had the most productive week ever but you know what, it's friday night and @johnleach is making me risotto so *does a little dance* #
- Having to work out the various angles of triangles for the first time since I left school 16 years ago. #
- I don't know if I've ever adequately expressed my love of cream crackers. #
- @tim_waters: looks good! might have to make some myself :) #
- .johnleach said the other day "I don't know what I'd do without you. Probably blog more." My romantic boyfriend. #
- Using @strowger78 as a guinea pig #
- The drinks cabinet for this afternoon's activities at Team Peach Towers. http://twitpic.com/3r72h0 #
- The gin and unicum have come out of the actual drinks cupboard now. I suspect the rest of the afternoon will be far from productive. #
- @Squiggle: i wasn't silly enough to try that ;) just the lemon juice, vinegar, worchestershire sauce… #
- This morning I have fished my keys out of the bottom of a wheelie bin and failed to fill balloons with rice. An interesting day so far. #
- @Factory4Wrkshop: ooh one day and half day courses, how exciting! can't wait to see the list! #
- Visiting our old house feels like bumping into an ex: great memories together & it looks better than I remember it – but time to move on. ;) #
- Conversely visiting the new fancy Morrisons at Kirkstall is like meeting an ex, who blossomed after our relationship ended. Not as good. #
- I hate looking for new computers. Going to go for a desktop & notebook instead of one laptop for everything so twice the shopping fun. sigh #
- @strowger78: we were watching a youtube video of a springer playing with a cat's tail last night; first lily then boron went for the tv :D #
- I just cleaned my laptop screen. Anyone who has ever seen my laptop screen will understand why that is newsworthy. #
- @Scampering: snot ;) #
- The dog just woke up to find herself playing the ukelele. Looked slightly confused. #
