- Last week a buyer promised us an amount for the old house "sold as seen, won't drop the price". Today, they dropped the price by 3k. Gits. #
- @urbanwide i started with the book's 1st ed. Good to start with then hit some serious hurdles, so the person might need help through that. in reply to urbanwide #
- @urbanwide I hit a wall so haven't even finished the book yet: too many more exciting things to do instead. Will get back to it soon though in reply to urbanwide #
- @davidsmalley out of the three I use regularly (HSBC, Smile & Halifax), I think Halifax is the best by far. But it's still really pretty bad in reply to davidsmalley #
- Returned from the dog walk soggy but with another lb of blackberries for the freezer. #
- Just put my hand in my pocket to look for the dog lead and found four eggs in there instead. #
- Found a small brown dog in ravenscliffe woods… #bd10 #
- Lost found-dog again – went over the beck towards ravenscliffe and he took off, hopefully remembering the way home. Cute little chap. #
- @strowger78 no, although he did lay some – they were like peanuts ;) in reply to strowger78 #
- @davidsmalley aww :( in reply to davidsmalley #
- @Caius Fozzie Bear? in reply to Caius #
- Mostly wasted this afternoon looking at mediocre wordpress themes. Determined to find a good one to make the hours "worthwhile"… #
- The dog totally has bed hair. #
- Had a fab walk at the Chevin with @johnleach and @left_realistic yesterday then pizza & Shaun of the Dead. Good day. :D #
- Damp doggy dawdle with @davidsmalley, then to the pub for lunch: another great day including walking & food. My sore neck is annoying though #
- @johnleach She's either a follower of Chewdaism or Hounduism – one thing for sure, she's not a Cat-holic. #arf #arf in reply to johnleach #
Categorylife
The general parent category for most of the things I write about on here.
One of the more interesting Louisa-centric sub-categories is biodata (where I explore my personal history with graphs, maps and whatnot), and if you’re that way inclined, you can read about the wonderful felines and canines with whom I’ve shared my life too.

- Really great weekend but tiring. I do believe a day of relaxation and napping is in order. #
- Trying not to give into negative feelings because I know they're partly caused by the return to reality & tiredness. Bah. #
- Was also not exactly impressed with the Lancashire Tea. A sign I've been in Yorkshire too long? Or a sign that Lancashire Tea is just crap? #
- @ruby_gem @strowger78 brought it for us to try. I wish he hadn't ;) I wouldn't be surprised if they'd gone bust, uuugh :) in reply to ruby_gem #
- @Threebt oh wow, they're scary. Thank you for inspiring me to develop a new phobia ;) in reply to Threebt #
- We re-watched this ace Animaniacs snippet last night – the nations of the world song – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IDtdQ8bTvRc :D #
- Struggling to write today/this week, everything is incredibly slow going. Bah. #
- Between the baby and the dog, Katherine and I brought our own brand of personal chaos to the Town St Tavern in Horsforth. Had ace food too. #
- Dear the Halifax, when someone calls to sell me something, it's not a "courtesy call", it's a frickin' annoying sales call. #
- Found a yoga class at the end of my road. Good fun but I smell of incense now. #
- Any Google Analytics wizzes tell me how to do the first thing on here? http://is.gd/f4fHB – find where pages are ranking by their keywords #
- Have noticed the harder I work/more focused I am, the straighter I sit up. Am amazed my back isn't shagged from years & years of slouching. #
- Been to see John B and Vicky's allotments (and chickens) today – they're growing loads of stuff! seriously jealous! Oh for such flat land! #
- @strowger78 good or salty. ;) Boron likes to try everything – pulls a face when he finds something spicy though :) in reply to strowger78 #
- Filled with curry. #
- .@johnleach has left the office with an annoying track playing via his (locked) laptop. he is the musical devil this morning, evil incarnate
- @Factory4Wrkshop ok, thanks for letting me know – i probably take you/them up on that later in the year. i’ll be in touch. :)
- I think the dog might be happy that @johnleach has come home. I think @johnleach wishes the affectionate dog was a little less stinky.
- @Factory4Wrkshop I’d love to learn to screenprint with you but can’t commit to a session each week. Any single weekend courses instead?
- Excited about my weekend plans even though they do involve an early o’clock start on Saturday – making cheese and seeing old friends, yay!
- Another day working on our old Armley house. Hopefully one of the last – it’s looking good. Anyone want to buy a great park-side 2 bed? ;)
- If I sit facing sideways rather than straight on, my laptop power cable *just* stretches from the power socket to the balcony. Win!
- RT @really_good Marrow and ginger jam recipe http://www.thereallygoodlife.com/366/marrow-and-ginger-jam-recipe/ [very sweet but yum!] #
- Had an ace Saturday in Todmorden with @strowger78 &@creosotethewife; then a lovely walk, 2 bbqs & an emergency vet visit yesterday. Busy! #
- @tim_waters she was very weak/drugged up yesterday but a bit livier today, still not right though. Sorry for rushing you guys out! in reply to tim_waters #
- Am largely failing at using the internet today. Sigh. #
- Getting annoyed at how the remnants of things past are still bogging me down. Trying to shake them off but it's slow progress. #
- Found out from John B that allotments are a legal right, not a privilege: the council HAS to provide one within a reasonable amount of time #
- I feel some serious "give us an allotment" letter writing coming on… Well worth a shot. #
- @philcooper yes, I read that. I think I can easily get 6 people nearby to join in. Anyone else in #bd10 up for some allotment letterwriting? in reply to philcooper #
- Picked nearly 3kg of blackberries this evening. Got a day of jam making and cold smoking (cheese, chillis & eggs) planned for tomorrow, woo. #
- @SlowFoodWYorks can we have two Mushroom forage tickets please? (one for me and one for @johnleach) in reply to SlowFoodWYorks #
- Going back to the old house to paint today – the reverse of a year ago (living there, coming to paint here in every spare minute). #
- A good day's work from Team Padesco – bedroom (of old house) walls stripped and repainted. Loft & living room to follow on Sunday. #
- @thattommyhall no and I think he was a little disappointed that I provided mains electric rather than diesel-fuelled power. in reply to thattommyhall #
- Freaked out by how clear the replacement double glazing units are. Got used to seeing everything through a misted up haze. Real life HD. #
- Want to learn how to make cheese next weekend? Need another person for course to run! http://www.lowimpact.org/bill_quay_cheesemaking.htm #
- Windows replaced by http://www.airedalesecurity.co.uk/ – great guys, did a great job for a great price. Highly recommended. #
- Always amazed how out of place bold text can be rendered completely invisible even when I'm looking for it. #
- @SlowFoodWYorks Fine by us. Very much looking forward to it :) in reply to SlowFoodWYorks #
- Dog just used her "I need a wee" routine to get me off the sofa then stole my seat. #
- @thattommyhall dude, you mean there's something wrong with doing that? in reply to thattommyhall #
- Am still amazed how well the cats & dog get along. They're happy to be around her & sit/stand on her when she's asleep. So cute :) #
- @strowger78 we had a slimline in Armley, think I prefer the flexibility of the full size for doing big stuff occasionally. in reply to strowger78 #
- @strowger78 if i was buying one now, i wouldn't care about size, just want one where i can easily suspend the power-sucking heat cycle. in reply to strowger78 #
- @strowger78 feline resources, surely? in related news, we met an awesome cat in armley today – a shadow version of a tabby :) in reply to strowger78 #
