While John was away at a wedding, Louisa and Lily went for a walk in West Wood.
They found a strange metal pond.
A field.
Remains of buildings.
Interesting mushrooms.
Some cows.
And some mud.
A lot of mud.
dog jumped into deep water at Kirkstall Abbey. Couldn’t get back onto bank and was struggling. Heroically fell in to help her. Stressful!

They quickly got over it though.
Boron, aka B, aka Handsome Sam, is quite partial to the window seat in the living room. Sunny windows sills are a delightful novelty for us all.
Even before we finished unpacking, the house met with the (grainy, blue-tinged) cats’ approval.
