  • brightens up a crappy morning by writing some longer-than-intended notes in permanent marker. mmm, volatile organic compounds. #
  • cycled back and forth to Katherine's. Hills each way. Baby Joe (3 weeks old today) was exhausted by my efforts. #
  • is really starting to enjoy drama – got some homework this week, working on all my group's LAMDA pieces, fun stuff :) #
  • is swinging between feeling ill and feeling perky. thanks sugar and caffeine. #
  • has been making the stream at the bottom of the garden flow more efficiently. There are 72 steps from the stream to the (grd floor) kitchen. #

  • has been letting cats out for the first time today. The first group excursion went well but the solo missions less so – Boron's gone AWOL… #
  • heard Boron meowing to say he was stuck in a neighbour's garden. He turned the nonchalance up to 11 when he made it back into our garden. #
  • wishes you could get king size dinosaur print duvet covers. #
  • has just taken Carbon for another wander around the garden. He does NOT like the pond. #
  • thinks this is going to be a cold house until we get the woodburner & better curtains everywhere. Might knit wrist-warmer gloves tonight. #
  • @xbaz that sounds dangerously like a euphemism. ;) in reply to xbaz #
  • thinks the (spicy tomato and lentil) soup could probably use another ten minutes but dammit, i'm hungry now. #
  • wants to offer @johnleach's dad soup but suspects it's probably best not to shout at him suddenly when he's precariously perched on the roof #
  • opens all the doors and windows – living room chimney still leaking into the dining room and bedroom, smoke everywhere. boo. #
  • writes crib notes on her hand in case she forgets what to say while leading a drama class exercise. #
  • has been nesting all weekend. well, mostly wandering around the garden with the cats avoiding actually doing anything. #
  • oh! also bought a bike from ebay! went for a ride today, checking out nearby allotments and through the woods – exploring is fun :) #

  • is having a sneaky minute checking on the state of the internetz while having a cup of tea. Next up: packing the kitchen. Exciting :) #
  • is super exhausted after 13 hours of packing. *Very* nearly done with the key stuff. The rest, deep storage stuff, can wait for now. #
  • dangerous horseplay aftermath: arm bruise looks like a hickey, arse bruise is v gnarly. @johnleach winces whenever he spies my bum cleavage. #
  • is having a calm cup of tea before the events of the day commence. Movers arrive in 1.5hrs. Eek! #
  • thinks the moving guys hate us. Nearly done though. Kinda. Carbon is hiding under the bed but the others more interested than scared. #
  • & the cats are in the (new) house. cats seem to approve of the bathroom: our prison for the next few hours. oh for a power socket. #
  • has had a great day. cats seem very happy and so are we. lots of boxes about still, obviously but we'll get there. :) #
  • had a fabulously smutty-humoured day at the office. #
  • is going to meet baby Joe properly – 10 days old now. Hope neither of us starts crying. #
  • thought the walk TO katherine & john's would be easy-peasy – it was easy walking FROM there last week, downhill all the way… #
  • @Threebt this recipe uses grated beetroot – is that any good for you? http://bit.ly/jD7s4 in reply to Threebt #
  • @Threebt ooh that looks nice. hurrah for simple :) in reply to Threebt #
  • held baby Joe for about ten minutes. He hiccuped and didn't cry. His dad thought I looked relaxed until he looked at my panic ridden face. #
  • was going to bid on http://bit.ly/ebay-noooo as a present for @johnleach who has an obsession with brushes but i forgot. am gutted. 99p! #
  • is working the lumberjack look today – checked shirt, wood over shoulder. #
  • used her wood to make an airing cupboard. Didn't go perfectly but learnt a lot. Need more sticks for more shelves in the other cupboard. #
  • clears out her feed reader, ready for another week. #

  • @sarahjarvis hurrah! hope all goes well with it :) in reply to sarahjarvis #
  • has packed 15ish boxes but aside from the bookcases, the house looks exactly as cluttered as it's always done. worrying. busy few days ahead #
  • failed at making tea: my cup was icky, substitute cup cracked right down the side (only found out after pouring in tea) & the milk is lumpy. #
  • was just called "Mrs Leach" by someone. No. Just no. #
  • likes that the new house smells of burnt wood from testing the chimney. Reminds me of our ace holidays in Staithes at http://bit.ly/staithes #

  • @urbanwide @monkeyhelpr super congrats on the new arrival :) #
  • exchanged in dangerous horseplay today during a painting break. regret it now. the bruises on my arm & arses will be a pretty purple. #
  • met five day old Joe today. Neither of us freaked out or started crying. Probably because he was asleep. #

  • took a bowl of cereal and half a cup of tea to realise the milk was very, very off (I just thought the muesli tasted funny.) #
  • @jeremyjarvis i finished paying off mine in april. even though it's not much each month, it's a great feeling to get rid of it, isn't it? :) in reply to jeremyjarvis #
  • @Threebt I managed to wash a load last week, almost all socks but none of them matched. No idea where the others are. Blame washing fairies. in reply to Threebt #

  • is tired. glad @johnleach "volunteered" to cook dinner. #

Last week’s Tweets (up to 2009-09-13)

  • is feeling rather unfocused today. Have started writing about a billion different things but abandoned them all after two paragraphs. Bah. #
  • wonders if any Rubyists can think of a better way to evoke "home sweet home" than "class Home ; acts_as_sweet ; end" #
  • @thattommyhall what? seriously? :( #
  • has gone through a wide range of emotions so far this morning and she's only been up for 30mins. practise for first drama class tonight? ;) #
  • made it through the first drama class without breaking down crying or blurting out a swear. Now needs spicy soup. #
  • and @johnleach have been working on their soon-to-be new office tonight: well, I took down the old fitted cupboards while john made dinner. #

  • likes it when coincidences lead to fun discoveries. #
  • is going for a walk in the sun under the pretext it's work. #

  • @emmakirton hi! you look younger in your profile pic than i remember ;) Found you randomly on Fri, glad to hear you & D are doing great :) #
